It is based on the Classic KB and KBG models. As with these models, the Select switches off automatically after 40 minutes but can be switched on again for another 40 minute cycle should you wish and it is then only power to the hotplate, the element switches off automatically when there is no water in the water reservoir. Comes with a 5-year warranty for domestic use and 1-year for Commercial use.
