Karogoto AA is a celebrated Kenyan coffee produced by the Tekangu Farmers’ Cooperative Society at the Karogoto washing station in Nyeri — a region famed for its high-elevation volcanic soils and consistently exceptional cup quality. Graded “AA” for its large, dense beans, this lot is prized for its clarity, structure and expressive character. It’s been a little while since we last showcased Karogoto, so we’re especially excited to welcome it back into our Producer Series curation. A classic yet ever-relevant Kenyan profile, this is a coffee that reminds us why we fell in love with the region in the first place. Head roaster Dan has a soft spot for Kenyan coffees, particularly those that showcase his favourite flavour notes of cherry and cola — a profile Karogoto delivers with ease. His last trip to Kenya was back in 2019, and this release has us all hoping the team can return soon to the source of such vibrant, expressive coffees. As for how Dan would drink it? Karogoto shines as a batch brew, enjoyed hot or cold, letting its bright acidity and depth unfold effortlessly in the cup.

Origin: Kenya

Tasting Notes: Cherry, Tea
